from what I gathered on the net real fast, "quand les poules pisseront" seems to be a XIXth century phrase.
I've never heard it in French myself.

Still love your blog, though!

Concerning the expression "la semaine des quatre jeudis", it is quite an old one and comes from the time when children didn't have school on Thursdays instead of Wednesdays, which is currently the case (in primary schools) ;-)

This one is probably going to disappear one day since it really applies to only one generation of people.

Same here ;) "quand les poules pisseront" isn't used at all (never heard of it too)

One would rather use : 'c'est pas demain la veille' or 'on peut toujours rêver...'
